Each Step

Follow his steps like the bright star of hope.

Those wise men thought wise to pursue.

Follow God’s Word because it's true.

The star for today to lead you.

The bright star of life. The bright star of love.

Its pages lead us to wisdom.

Like the wise men with joy, searched for the King.

And knelt with three gifts to give Him.

It’s shining for thee, Oh, why can’t you see;

His love on the pages of truth?

God so loved the world, so He gave His Son.

A Christmas gift for me and you.

Isn’t it, wisdom to kneel by His side;

With the gifts of your heart, on this day?

Like believing and receiving His love.

Trusting Him all along the way.

May each step bring us closer to the King;

Our Savior, Redeemer, and Friend.

Rejoice and sing, we have been forgiven!

Praise the Lord!  We belong to Him!

Our hope has no end in heaven we win.

Each Step Prayer

May each step lead us closer to you dear Lord.

May our steps be your steps we pray.

That our steps may be blessings of hope and light.

Leading those searching In the Way.

Keep our eyes forward in right paths of truth.

Let not our feet wander astray.

That we may inherit blessings from you.

In the light of your grace always.

Jesus Knew Prejudice

Jesus Knew Prejudice

Though I do not agree with everything Trump does or says, I still stand by our President as the best for the job at this time.  I pray for Him, it is a tremendous responsibility, being the leader of a great nation.

     I appreciate the fact that He acknowledges God, but was disappointed at His choice to call names while addressing the NFL who chose to make a stand against our nation.  Whether they meant that or not, that's what they did, they told the whole world something.

    I do not agree that those who chose not to stand by our flag are doomed for hell because of their actions, however, I do believe it delivers a message of weakness to other countries.  It makes us look weaker as a nation.  They are thrilled to hear of our divisions as a nation.

It is a fact that there are prejudices in this country.  I believe some white people are prejudice against blacks as well as some black people are prejudice against whites.  There are many prejudices in our country, some people hate Slavic people, some people hate Jews, some people hate whites, some people hate overweight people, some hate pretty people, some people hate Christians, some hate the poor, the uneducated, the handicapped, some people hate anyone different than themselves.

   So what does God call us to do? God calls people, to love Him,  to trust him, and to pray.  He calls us to humble ourselves, turn from our sins and turn back to Him.  In doing so, He will heal our land and teach us to love one another in spite of our differences.  God calls us to speak against sin but that does not mean we should hate or torment people if we do not agree with them.  God changes everything just as turning from Him changes everything.  God tells us what the change will be if we choose His ways of doing things... He will heal or land.  We all have people who do not like us, we've all had people treat us unfairly, we've all felt the pressures of prejudice in some way. 

   We are more than overcomers as we trust the Saviour through the troubles in life.  We all have gone through the unjust treatment of others in some way.  God calls us to forgiveness and the restoring of our souls in Him.  Jews have known great prejudice and persecution.  Jesus was among them, He was not a white man, He was a Jew.  Jesus reached out to people different than himself and loved them. 

   He ate with the sinners and the publicans and He was ridiculed for it.  He was accused falsely of being a winebibber and glutton,  Matthew 11:19 The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners.  The people Jesus ate with were rejected by other people.  They knew the torments of prejudice and rejection.  Jesus loved them and won many over to Truth.

   We are called to love others in Christ while yet still standing for truth,  liberty, and justice for all.

We can still stand for what is right and speak about it to others. We nust take our burdens over our country to the Lord who can and will heal our land.

Romans 12:21

Keep Watch

Snatched from the realm of darkness;

Brought to salvational light.

Still we live in a dark world;

That’s lost in deception of night.

Soldiers, we fight in a battle;

Led by our heavenly King.

Following spiritual orders;

Obeying and honor we bring.

A battle, between light and darkness;

Our commander has already won.

The Lord, the Light of salvation;

No fear, for He sent His Son.

Jesus, the light of this lost world;

Hope for the lost in there sin.

Victorious, over deaths sentence;

Light has the victory in Him.

We are now, lights in the darkness;

As Jesus sheds love, in our hearts.

Battling this world, in His strength;

We can avoid satans darts.

Carry His lamp, there before you.

His light, will lead in the Way.

He’ll protect, in heat of the battle.

Walk in the Light and don’t stray away.

Keep watch!  Be spiritually ready;

Wearing your shield and your sword.

We shall defeat, in this darkness;

The battle belongs to the Lord

Day is Soon Approaching

Sing joyfully, dear friends;

Be happy in the Lord.

Stay faithful in His work;

Our end is great reward.

Soon upon that golden street

In gratefulness complete

We’ll cast gold crowns of love

At our Savior’s Holy feet

There’s a purpose and a plan

God has for us to do

Be a light, for those in night

The job for me and you

Walking rightly in the way

Our Lord will one day say

Well done, my faithful child

You listened, you obeyed

Live your life in His love

Be generous and kind

Always praying, always praising

Give hope to poor and blind

What you do and don’t do

Is important and it matters

Live to build others up

Rebelling only scatters

Yearning eyes are watching you

In hopes of something true
